Chelsea’s peculiar transfer policy must be one of the big reasons for their recent transfer ban, as the Blues currently have 42 players on loan.
Kasey Palmer is one such player, who after spending half his season at Blackburn Rovers, is shining through for Bristol City after arriving in the January transfer window.
Palmer’s already managed to impress the Robins with his performances so far and they’re looking to sign him up permanently. Indeed, according to reports( via the Sun), Chelsea are ready to offload Palmer to Bristol for good in the summer. In fact, he’s allegedly only going to cost them around £4 million only, which could be a steal for a blooming talent.
The 22-year-old’s inherited a lot of experience in the Championship, having earlier played and helped Huddersfield Town’s promotion to the Premier League. While The Robins will have to weather the storm of playoffs to realize that dream this season, Palmer could be an asset in the future.
He’s proven to be an efficient winger for them, using his dribbling ability and intelligence to add bite to their attack. Palmer made a fantastic debut for the Robins, scoring the winner against Bolton Wanderers and then helping them embark on a five-match winning streak, which was broken by Norwich City.
While still being used as a substitute, Palmer could soon mould into a tricky winger for them. He has the potential of becoming a key cog to Bristol’s attack and being available for such a cheap figure, could be a great addition to their squad.
