Sheffield Wednesday were left frustrated after drawing 1-1 against Cardiff City away from home on Friday (via BBC Sport).
The Owls had taken the lead after 19 minutes in south Wales, and were ahead until the 87th minute. But they suffered late heartbreak as Lee Tomlin curled in a free-kick to rescue a point for the Bluebirds.
Julian Borner was the man who had put Sheffield Wednesday in front at the Cardiff City Stadium, and the centre-back was receiving plenty of praise for his performance despite the team ultimately failing to hang on to the win.
The German was outstanding on the night, and as well as scoring he also won seven aerial duels, made three clearances and one interception and finished with a match rating of 7.47 (via WhoScored).
Since arriving from Arminia Bielefeld in the summer, Borner has already become something of a fans favourite at Hillsborough. That is probably due to his consistent performances, indeed he has played every minute of their Championship campaign so far and has an average rating of 7.11 (via WhoScored).
The Owls’ supporters were once again left impressed with his performance against Cardiff, here is what a few of them had to say about Borner after the match…
