Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Julian Borner injury

Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 0-0 draw by Leeds United at Hillsborough on Saturday (via BBC Sport).
Has Julian Börner been better than Michael Hector?
Yes

No

The Owls could have leapfrogged their Yorkshire rivals in the Championship table with a win, but were forced to settle for a point which left them fourth at the time of writing (via BBC Sport).
Whilst Garry Monk was happy with his team’s performance, describing them as “dominant” in the second half (BBC Sport), he would have been left concerned about the injury sustained by Julian Borner.
The centre-back was forced to withdraw from the team after the warm-up, with Sam Hutchinson having to drop into centre-back alongside Dominic Iorfa.
Borner has been a key player for the Owls this term, indeed he had started all of their first 13 games in the Championship prior to the clash against Leeds, helping them to five clean sheets (via Transfermarkt).
At the moment it is unknown what the full extent of the injury is, and how long it will keep him out for.
Wednesday will hope that it is only a minor problem, as will their fans who have really taken to Borner this season. Many of them were left extremely worried after hearing that he had picked up an injury in the warm-up, here is what some said on Twitter…
Absolute gutting that Borner has picked up an injury in the warm up. He’s been vital for Wednesday this season. Big miss. #swfc
