Sheffield Wednesday held Yorkshire rivals Leeds United to a 0-0 draw at Hillsborough (BBC Sport), and there was one man specifically to thank for stopping the Whites from scoring.
Keiren Westwood pulled off an absolutely superb save late on in the first half to keep the scores level, and ultimately secure the Owls a point.
With just 30 seconds left on the clock in the first period, Jack Harrison produced a brilliant cross with the outside of his foot which found Patrick Bamford unmarked in the penalty area. The striker did everything right, heading the ball back across goal but somehow Westwood managed to dive low to his right and palm it away for a corner (via @swfc).
The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper is a key player for Sheffield Wednesday, and was making his return to the first team having missed their previous two matches through injury with Cameron Dawson deputising (via WhoScored).
Fans were left extremely impressed with the save he made to deny Bamford, and several were sending him plenty of praise for it on Twitter after the game…
