Morgan Fox has been named as Sheffield Wednesday’s Player of the Month for October (via @swfc).
Who is the better coach, Garry Monk or Steve Bruce?
The award is voted for by Owls supporters on their official website, and the left-back received 35% of the votes which was enough for him to win (swfc.co.uk).
Dominic Iorfa came in second place with 31% whilst another of their defenders, Julian Borner, was third with 15% (swfc.co.uk).
Fox actually missed Sheffield Wednesday’s first two fixtures of October against Hull City and Wigan Athletic. However, he played 90 minutes in each of their games against Cardiff City, Stoke City and Leeds United and produced some impressive displays (via Transfermarkt).
He helped the Owls to a clean sheet against Stoke as the South Yorkshire side won that game 1-0 at Hillsborough (via Transfermarkt).
Then he was named as WhoScored’s Man of the Match against Leeds United, making four interceptions, three clearances and playing one key pass in the game which helped him earn an overall rating of 7.71.
After seeing that Fox had won the award, most Owls fans were delighted for the 26-year-old and agreed that he was a deserving winner. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
