Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Pulis decision not to start Izzy Brown

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are not best pleased with Tony Pulis as they noticed one player missing from the starting XI against Norwich. Izzy Brown was the name supporters were hoping to see, and it’s fair to say the reaction to Pulis’ decision on social media was not a particularly happy one.
The Englishman has played eight games this season and has one assist to his name (Transfermarkt). Despite featuring in those eight games however, he has only started twice. Since Pulis’ first game in charge against Preston North End, he has only played 15 minutes of football.
Many fans were not happy, as they feel he is a creative spark who can help the Owls get some more goals in the side. One supporter called the decision by the manager ‘ridiculous’.
Last season for Luton, Brown scored one goal and picked up seven assists in 25 appearances, whilst also managing 2.1 key passes a game and 2 successful dribbles per game, via WhoScored. This highlights why fans do want him to be getting more game time at the club, as it’s certainly easy to see the side are missing a creative spark.
Here is what Wednesday fans had to say about Brown’s omission:
Our most creative player in brown can’t get a game. A genuine top tier creator at this level. Tony pulis anti football😴
