Several Sheffield Wednesday fans believe that Morgan Fox should win the club’s Player of the Month award for October.

The Owls allow fans to vote for the player they believe has been their star performer for the month just gone on their official website, and it seems that many will be voting for Fox.

The 26-year-old didn’t play in their first two matches of October against Hull City and Wigan Athletic respectively. But he has since broken into the side and played 90 minutes against Cardiff City, Stoke City and Leeds United (via Transfermarkt).

His performances in the two games against Stoke and Leeds were particularly impressive, with the Owls managing to keep clean sheets in both games.

Against Stoke Fox was given a WhoScored rating of 7.32, making four clearances, two tackles and blocking one shot. His rating against Leeds was then even better, with WhoScored giving him 7.71 which was the highest of any player after making four clearances, three interceptions and winning two aerial duels.

The displays he has produced haven’t escaped the attention of Sheffield Wednesday’s supporters, and many took to Twitter to suggest that Fox should definitely be named as their Player of the Month for October. Here is what some said…
