Sheffield Wednesday will be happy to welcome Steve Bruce to the club and hope that, along with some new players, he can be a success.
With the Owls in a rather dull 16th place, new life has to be brought into Hillsborough for improvements to be made in due course.
That includes some new signings, who could quickly change around the fortunes of the club if good enough for the Championship.
A player who certainly would be a coup for Wednesday and their hopes of a better 2019 is Bournemouth’s Marc Pugh.
Pugh, who is valued at £1.3 million on Transfermarkt, isn’t the most talented winger but he does have a brilliant work ethic that could fit in well with what Steve Bruce is trying to achieve with Sheffield Wednesday.
With his contract up with Bournemouth at the end of the season and having only made three appearances this season, time at the Vitality Stadium could be up for Pugh.
Instead, he could find a move to Sheffield Wednesday a challenging, yet rewarding one with the more regular chance to feature more.
With the team clear of both the play-off places and relegation zone for now, it could be an opportunity to give the chance to a player like Marc Pugh, to show what he still has to give at 31-years-old.
For a footballer, it will be harder as you get older to continue playing but Pugh could potentially show Steve Bruce what he is missing on the wing.
Pugh is a player who still has great energy, as well as having the ability to still find the back of the net or a killer pass when given the chance.
Do you agree Pugh is a good signing… Let us know!
