Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Massimo Luongo injury news

Sheffield Wednesday have faced a bit of an injury crisis in recent weeks with absentees including Massimo Luongo, Moses Odubajo and top scorer Steven Fletcher.
The latter made his comeback against Birmingham last weekend but Garry Monk has delivered less positive news on the other two, with Luongo still thought to be at least a week away from a return.
It is disappointing news considering the former QPR man was first unavailable due to the red card he picked up against Blackburn in mid-January. He hasn’t played since and has struggled a little with injuries throughout the season, making only nine league starts as a result.
That has a negative impact on Monk as it hinders his ability to pick a consistent side, and if players are unable to build up an understanding, it can lead to disjointed performances. Supporters are understandably a little frustrated with the Australia international, not least because his lack of availability means Joey Pelupessy has deputised in his place, andΒ some fans believe he is not good enough to play for the Owls.
Here is some of the reaction to the latest injury news, with a few fans drawing unflattering comparisons with injury-plagued ex-Owl Almen Abdi:

Has Sheffield Wednesdays mini injury crisis impacted the team, or does Monk not deserve sympathy because he has frozen players out of the squad? Tell us what you think in the comments!
