Sheffield Wednesday: Fans divided over cashing in on Adam Reach

Sheffield Wednesday fans are split on their opinions of Adam Reach as they discuss whether he will still be part of the set-up next season.
After Twitter fan account @Owls_HQ started the debate over Reach’s Hillsborough career, supporters have been mulling over the prospect of him getting a new deal with Wednesday.
Do you want to see Adam Reach be given a new deal?
Definitely

No thanks

The 27-year-old joined the club in 2016 from Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee and his current contract is due to run out next year (via ESPN). Since joining the Owls, Reach has made 174 appearances, notching 18 goals and 30 assists across all competitions in that time (via Transfermarkt).
His current season hasn’t exactly been a disappointing one but it seems some fans aren’t best pleased. The midfielder has registered one goal and six assists in the Championship this campaign.
One supporter who isn’t in favour of keeping Reach at the club has said they ‘can’t see what he brings’ to the team. Whereas another fan has backed him and branded him a ‘class player’.
No idea. And I wouldn’t be bothered either way. To get promoted you need consistent form from your players and to consistently win or remain unbeaten in matches. Reach is far too inconsistent and can go for me.

….if he can turn his form around mate and he is open about how badly he has performed then he is an asset for sure….I think be wants to go onto bigger things to be honest…in his head anyway lol

Hope so. Depends really on what will happen with the EFL charge. If the worst happens we’d probably have to sell. He’s one of the few that would command a decent fee.

I really can’t see what he brings. We should have cashed in.

I hope so!!!
Otherwise where are we going to find players to form an 11 for next season?
A club with a financial embargo preventing competitive wages and a likely points deduction
Don’t expect players to queue up to play for us next season
