Sheffield Wednesday assistant coach Lee Bullen has said he expects James Beattie to join the Owls’ backroom staff ‘at some point’.

In an interview with Pars TV (via Yorkshire Live), Garry Monk’s assistant coach spoke about the potential of Beattie linking up with his former colleague in Sheffield. The 42-year-old, who previously worked with Monk at Birmingham, is currently in limbo with where his coaching career is heading.

Beattie is currently on gardening leave from the Blues and is taking no part whatsoever in any of the team’s training. Bullen believes that the former striker will make the move to Wednesday in the near future to reunite with his old managerial partner.
