With Sheffield Wednesday suffering an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon, Twitter would not be a fun place to visit for those playing for the Owls and Jacob Murphy is one such individual that might want to leave the site alone for a few days.
Garry Monk’s side would likely have been buzzing from last weekend’s huge win against Yorkshire rivals Leeds United as they headed into the game against the Ewood Park outfit, however they were soon brought crashing back down to earth when Lewis Holtby struck early.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts as Massimo Luongo was given his marching orders, which then appeared to spark a complete collapse as Holtby added a second after Cameron Dawson was unfortunate to have the ball strike his back and bounce into the net.
Blackburn continued to hammer away and struck twice in the second half through Darragh Lenihan and Sam Gallagher, leaving Sheffield Wednesday in a heap before them as they took all three points back to Lancashire.
The Wednesdaynites were left fuming with what they saw from their whole club on the day, however Murphy certainly appeared to pick up some rather negative reaction from fans, with many of the faithful seemingly having had enough of the winger, with one going as far as to call him a ‘fraud’.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Murphy has one good game every 15 games.

Monk has to take some of the blame for that shambolic display today.when will he learn that formation doesnt work for us. Particularly at home when we should be on the front foot. Winnall had no chance on his own. Murphy is a fraud. Poor management today. #swfc @domhowson

Murphy hung the poor lad out to dry today, absolutely no help whatsoever. Poor all over the pitch though. Spineless performance. No swfc played comes out of this with any kind of credit

If Jacob Murphy is your main creative outlet then you should be able to see the problem #swfc
