Lots of Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to some comments from Keith Andrews, and it’s fair to say his verdict hasn’t gone down too well.
The Owls were predicted to finish bottom of the league by Sky Sports readers before the campaign begun (Sheffield Star), and it’s fair to say they have silenced their critics.
Garry Monk’s side currently sit in third place in the table, and certainly appear to be the best-placed team to try and break Leeds and West Brom’s monopoly on the top two.
Wednesday have won four of their last five, including an absolute demolition job of Nottingham Forest, and a couple of improvements in the January transfer window may just push them well and truly into the automatic promotion race.
Per the Sheffield Star, Sky Sports pundit and former Republic of Ireland international Andrews believes the manager needs to add ‘one or two’ Monk-style players to the squad, saying that they are a difficult team to play against.
However, while the comments seem fairly measured, plenty of supporters have lashed out at Andrews, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…

He hates us. Always has. Even when we were doing well under Carlos he was always having a sly dig.
