Sheffield Wednesday will want to bounce back from their midweek loss to Nottingham Forest, and they’ll want to do it fast.
They travel to Villa Park to face an Aston Villa team that are two points ahead of them in the table. Steve Bruce’s men snapped a six-match winless run midweek by beating Rotherham, but still may be lacking confidence.
The Villans may be there for the taking, and with that in mind, here are TWO that manager Jos Luhukay must pick today…
The 25-year-old Dutch midfielder has been a rock for The Owls so far this season in the middle of the field. That is why it was a gamble to drop him for the fixture at the City Ground on Wednesday.
Josh Onomah needed to be shoehorned into the side, but with current wingers Lucas João and Marco Matias playing so well, Luhukay opted to play the Tottenham loan deeper in place of Pelupessy.
That gamble didn’t pay off, unfortunately, and the former FC Twente player should find his way back in the team for Villa.
Scotland international has been patient this season at Hillsborough. He has seen Luhukay consistently opt for Kosovo international Atdhe Nuhiu ahead of him.
But the 6ft 5 monster up front has only found the net once in the Championship this season, and it may be time to shake things up and look to the former Premier League striker. This may be what the team needs to get them back to winning ways.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
