Sheffield Wednesday: Fans express mixed views on Tom Lees’ performances this season

Sheffield Wednesday returned to winning ways against Charlton in mid-week and fans have been in discussion about one man, Tom Lees.
The defender was named in the WhoScored Team of the Week but that didn’t prevent some criticising his contribution to the overall season or his display against the Addicks.
One supporter stated that Julian Borner had to rescue him from trouble more than once, but he made two tackles and three clearances, earning the WhoScored man of the match award in the process.
That shows that he was key to keeping things tight at the back and that provided the foundation for the win, and some fans recognised his performance by praising the centre-back.
Should Steven Fletcher get a new deal?
Yes

No

In fact, the majority of supporters are singing his praises and clearly believe their fellow fans should be too, with one suggesting that he has become the “new scapegoat”.
Some of the reaction to his inclusion in the WhoScored Team of the Week can be found below.
How? Borner saved him so many times its rediculous? Shouldve been bannan or palmer imo

Brilliant tackle towards the end of the game last night. Looked a lot better than he has recently.

Well deserved! Immense last night!

People won’t praise him for his performance last night as he is the new scapegoat, since Fox and Palmer have been taken off the list #swfc
