West Brom will believe they have a real chance at gaining promotion this season, thanks to their strong start to the campaign.
The Baggies are in 3rd place and don’t look at all out of place. Their squad is full of talented players that on-form, would be an immense challenge for any other Championship side to face.
Yet they are not top of the table, meaning there are still improvements to be made.
Darren Moore will be hoping to get his West Brom side straight back into the Premier League after relegation last season and signing Rangers star and captain James Tavernier would go some way in improving their chances of doing so.
Tavernier, (who is valued at £765k on Transfermarkt) has once again been in phenomenal form for Rangers this season, helping Steven Gerrard and co keep their title dreams alive.
From his right-back position, Tavernier has amazingly contributed nine goals and 14 assists this season, in the 37 appearances he has made so far.
He has missed just one game this whole season which demonstrates his importance to Rangers and how vital he is for them.
It would be some statement from West Brom if they were able to lure the Englishman away but with the chance of Premier League football in around six months time, it could be James Tavernier’s final chance to experience the highest level.
With Mason Holgate already arriving during the transfer window, West Brom could completely solidify their back-line, seeing as Tavernier, Holgate and Adarabioyo can all play in the right-back and centre-back position.
Tavernier has the experience and talent to perform well in the Championship and in order to keep the pressure on fellow title contenders, improving their defence would be a very smart decision for West Brom.
