Barry Douglas’ brilliant form is inspiring Leeds fans

Barry Douglas was allowed to leave Wolves over summer for just £3 million and so far that’s looking like being one of the bargains of the transfer window. The Scottish left-back scored five goals and registered 14 assists for Wolves last season in the Championship and his form at Elland Road is living up to the hype.

The 28-year-old defender has played every minute of the club’s Championship campaign so far and he’s already off the mark on the assist front as he’s set up two goals for teammates this season. he set one up in the opening game of the campaign against Stoke City and then added another assist to his name on Saturday when he set up Pablo Hernandez third goal at Carrow Road.

The Whites are currently sitting at the top of the Championship having won four and drawn one of their five openers and if Marcelo Bielsa can keep his squad fit and playing the way they are then there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t go on and win promotion at a canter. The competition in the Championship is always fierce but when you’ve got a serial winner in charge and some reliable top quality players like Douglas who turn out every week there’s no reason why you can’t achieve big things.

Plenty of Leeds fans are loving having Barry Douglas at the club and will be keen to get him yet another Championship winners medal come to the end of the season.
