Hughes eyes two Stoke City deals as January planning begins

According to The Stoke Sentinel, Stoke City are looking seriously into the possibility of signing Lee Grant and Bruno Martins Indi on permanent deals after the pair are said to have impressed manager Mark Hughes.

Indeed, our resident Potters fans here in the Transfer Tavern have certainly been pleased with the pair’s exploits so far and would like to see them stay on as the club have turned their early poor form around this season.

The men from the Bet365 Stadium had been in the relegation zone earlier this season but have gone on a good unbeaten run that was extended against West Ham last weekend with a 1-1 draw that Grant made a cracking save in.

It’s performances like that that have left their mark on Hughes’ mind, evidently, and it looks as though they will be at the club longer than past this season.

Grant joined from Derby County with Jack Butland out injured whilst Martins Indi came in from Portuguese side Porto.

While they aren’t the biggest name signings the Potters made in recent years, the report is certainly proving popular amongst the fans propping up the bar,

Would you be happy with them staying Stoke fans? Let us know below…
