According to The Stoke Sentinel, 16-year-old Tyrese Campbell is quickly working his way up the youth set-up at Stoke City, exciting our resident Potters fans.
The young striker signed for Stoke in the summer from Manchester City as he looked for more football playing opportunities, and he seems to have impressed enough already to warrant fast-tracking the U23 side that the club has.
He made his debut for them earlier this week, despite being seven years younger than the age category and largely impressed meaning the next step for him would be to get into Mark Hughes’ senior side.
Campbell is the son of former Everton striker Kevin Campbell and at his current rate of progression he looks like he’ll emulate his father in the Premier League.
It’s certainly caught our Stoke fans’ attention, one said: “He looks like a real prospect, one of the best we’ve had so I’m surprised City even let him go. Nevertheless, that’s their loss and I can’t wait to see him make his full debut which might not even be that far off at this rate!”
Our landlord likes the sound of Campbell, and wishes the youngster luck in his career!
