Stoke fans here in the Transfer Tavern today are being about as dull as their club has been this summer in the transfer window.
Mark Hughes’ side have just added West Brom skipper Darren Fletcher and 18 year-old Josh Tymon from Hull City so far.
Both players have arrived on a free transfer, too, which means the Potters are still yet to spend a penny.
Stoke finished 13th last season, which is now considered to be a disappointment by the club. A top 10 finish has become customary for their supporters at the Bet365 Stadium.
Despite the overall position, the mid-table finish is satisfactory. However the points tally was not – Stoke managed a mere 44 points last season and could only find the net 41 times.
Hughes needs to make further changes before his side’s opening game against Everton on August 12.
