Stoke City closing in on bargain £5m deal for prolific Premier League star, Spurs strongly linked

Stoke City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping they can land this young prospect as his club just want him out of the door.

According to MailOnline, West Brom striker Saido Berahino is available to Premier League clubs for just £5 million and the Potters are thought to be leading the battle to sign him.

This time last year, Spurs were strongly linked with a big money move for the 22-year old, while now relegated Newcastle United saw a mammoth £21m offer snubbed just six months ago.

But this refusal to let him leave for London led to a dramatic dip in form and getting himself in the bad books of both Tony Pulis and the club’s board.

He then publicly told fans how furious he was that his move to Spurs was denied and since this incident he has been distant from the starting line up.

Still, the England under-21 international is a potent marksman at Premier League level and has plenty of time on his side, meaning this deal could represent a huge coup for those in the Potteries.

Stoke fans. Do you think £5 million is a good price for Saido Berahino? Let us know your thoughts below.
