Stoke City looking to raid Norwich and West Brom for big name stars in lavish £50m spree

The Stoke City fans in the Transfer Tavern watching their plethora of international stars perform at Euro 2016 have met reports from the Sun with delirious delight.

They claim that Potters chief Mark Hughes is keen on splurging a stunning £50m in a lavish spending spree this summer, as the Welshman looks to press ahead with his revolution at the Britannia Stadium.

While previously regarded as an unfashionable outfit, the former Manchester City boss has constructed a glittering squad, packed to the rafters with Champions League winners and big names.

With that in mind, the ex-Fulham coach is reportedly looking to continue his transformation in the Potteries.

The club are supposedly moving ahead of Southampton in the race to land £11m Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond, as well as launch a £22m move to bring bad-boy-Baggie Saido Berahino south of the Midlands this summer.

Belgium international Axel Witsel, previously touted as a target for Tottenham Hotspur, is also a name thought to be on the agenda in a potential £17m swoop.

How far can ‘Sparky’ take Stoke, into the Top 6?
