A Berardi goal is all Leeds fans are asking for tonight

Tonight sees Leeds United travel to The Liberty Stadium to take on Graham Potter’s Swansea City as Marcelo Bielsa aims to make it four wins from four in the Championship. The supporters will be buzzing for the game and will be hoping that birthday boy Gaetano Berardi, who turns 30 today, can get on the scoresheet.

Berardi is a very unlikely goalscorer tonight but the fans can still dream of it happening. Having signed for the club back in 2014, the Swiss international has bagged himself just one goal in 118 appearances for the club. In contrast to that he’s managed to get sent off six times in those appearances, meaning the fans can expect a red card more than they can expect a goal from the 30-year-old tonight.

Despite his rather abysmal disciplinary record, the right-back turned centre-back has been in amazing form this season and hasn’t looked close to losing head at all, with Marcelo Bielsa’s most likely having a huge impact on the experienced Championship defender. If by some miracle Berardi does find himself on the scoresheet tonight they’ll be plenty of ecstatic Whites who have been calling for him to score on Twitter.

The Whites are desperate for a Berardi worldie strike tonight and it’s just a matter of whether the 30-year-old can deliver.
