Swansea City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been wondering where the goals are going to come from next season following the exits of Eder, Bafetimbi Gomis and Alberto Paloschi this window.
But Mundo Deportivo reports today that both the Swans and West Bromwich Albion interested signing Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston, who spent last season on loan at La Liga side Eibar.
The 23-year old Spanish striker was in impressive form, as he bagged 18 goals in 36 league appearances, but that might not be enough to convince Diego Simeone to keep him at Vicente Calderon.
Albion’s interest may prompt fans to believe that long term want-away striker Saido Berhino may finally be on his way out of the Hawthorns, amidst reports that Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is eyeing up a move.
It seems that Baston’s services could become a wide-scale debate and Swansea will be looking to move in quick to bolster their timid strike force.
