The Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that Kyle Bartley has suffered a second knee injury in eight months. A story in the Yorkshire Evening Post confirmed the news of Bartley’s injury as the Whites will have to review their transfer targets following a second major injury to the Swansea City man.

The 26-year-old spent the entire 2016/17 season on-loan at Elland Road and struck a formidable partnership with Pontus Jansson at the heart of the Leeds defence as the club narrowly missed out on a play-off place at the end of the season, despite a superb campaign. This year has been very different though, Leeds are currently 14th in the table and have lost an incredible 20 games, with their most recent coming at the hands of Norwich City on Saturday.
If Paul Heckingbottom’s side are to achieve promotion next year they’ll need to address the leaky defensive problems that they’re currently suffering from this season. The Yorkshire club has looked awful at times this season as they’ve only managed to win three games in 2018, despite entering the new year sitting pretty in 6th and hanging onto a play-off place. Now, because of their horrendous new year form, the Whites are destined for a ninth straight season in the Championship next year.

A one legged Kyle Bartley is better than what we have now.

Gona be a problem that. No point signing him and having to play Cooper anyway

Should have been last seasons target but too expensive, not worth the risk now. The ambitious move would be for someone like Flint

Well, at least we're following the trend of signing injured players!

He’s a definite signing then. We only have players that are constantly injured.

He won’t be coming too much of a gamble now
