Speaking to Jim White on Talksport, Swansea City’s Huw Jenkins has said that Bob Bradley’s position is safe at the club with our Swans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping that is the right call.
Indeed, they are not ones to question Jenkins’ decisions usually as for the last few seasons he has usually got things right in terms of managerial appointments.
The likes of Garry Monk, Michael Laudrup and Brendan Rodgers all had successful periods with the club before moving on for one reason or another and only now have they started to struggle.
The American Bradley was brought in to help steady the ship after Francesco Guidolin’s ill-fated spell but so far that has not happened with the club only winning once under his tenure.
That was a thrilling 5-4 victory over Crystal Palace but they duly followed it up with a 5-0 loss at Tottenham, with many here in the bar already asking whether it is time for another new manager.
For Jenkins, though, Bradley is the right man for the job. When asked about the future of the manager, he said:
“I don’t know where that story came from, but it’s natural in football that everyone wants and needs results.
“But the last thing we need at this moment of time is a continual change in manager. We need stability first and foremost.
“Take a team like Fulham, they changed managers three times in the season they tried to stave off relegation and we’re in a similar position now.”
Fulham went down that season and right now our landlord cannot see anything other than the Swans following suit.
