A lot of Leeds fans have been taking to Twitter to complain to Phil Hay about the lack of positive news as the story has broken that West Brom are set to sign Kyle Bartley. According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the ex-Leeds man is joining the Baggies for £3.5 million and the Whites aren’t best pleased.

The way this summer has gone so far, the fact that Leeds are losing out on Kyle Bartley to West Brom should come as no real surprise. The fans have been left in the dark on a lot of transfers so far this summer. Matej Vydra looks to have fallen through whilst on the goalkeeping front, they’ve missed out on both Angus Gunn and David Stockdale. Now though, long-term target Bartley is set to sign for one of Leed’s direct Championship rivals.
Bartley shone at Elland Road alongside Pontus Jansson under Garry Monk in the 2016/17 season when Leeds got so close to gaining a spot in the playoffs. However, after failing to act on their interest in the 27-year-old last summer it now looks like the Swansea man will be making the trip from the Liberty Stadium to the Hawthorns as Darren Moore will be looking to mount a title challenge when the Championship season starts.
Here’s what the Whites have been saying about Bartley on Twitter:
But are we sure #lufc wants him?

Lufc missing a trick here would get fans on side for not much money in my opinion and boost attendances

Any danger of some positive news? I’m losing the will to live

Given the relatively small fee involved I’m guessing our lack of movement on this would be bielsa doesn’t want him

Going off the tweets above, it’s pretty clear that being a Leeds fan is tough at the moment as things continue to go against the club.
