Leeds fans on Twitter loved Bamford’s part in Hernandez goal

Leeds United travelled the long distance to Swansea last night to take on Graham Potter’s side in their 4th game of the season and they were hoping to extend their 100% record. Things didn’t go as planned, though, and they needed a 79th-minute equaliser from Pablo Hernandez to stay unbeaten.

Patrick Bamford played a huge part in the equaliser, he was released down the left flank by a sublime through-ball and turned the full-back brilliantly to make space for himself. He then proceeded to fire an inch-perfect low cross into the path of Pablo Hernandez who made no mistake as he swept the ball into the corner of the Swansea net. His goal proved decisive as the score stayed at 2-2.

Hernandez’s goal against his former side was the moment that the fans had been waiting for but it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the brilliance of Bamford down the flank. It’s not often that you see Bamford making himself useful on the wing but the fact he wasn’t central made the goal last night and the fans are making sure they give their new striker plaudits for his part in it.

The fans are loving Bamford’s input in the goal and will be even more pleased for the striker when he can bag his first goal in the Championship for himself.
