Swansea and Everton fight for signature of attacking midfielder

Everton and Swansea fans in the Transfer Tavern have gathered together today to discuss the latest rumour concerning an attacking midfielder – and it’s not Gylfi Sigurdsson.

French outlet L’Equipe report that both Premier League sides are interested in the services of Young Boy’s Yoric Ravet, who has impressed in Switzerland after signing for the club last year.

27-year-old Ravet has accumulated seven goals in 31 Super League appearances since signing for the Swiss side and the attacking-midfielder, who is a former France U20 international, could now get the chance to move to the Premier League.

Everton are eyeing attack-minded recruits in January, having already seen a pursuit of Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson fail, whilst the Welsh side desperately need new faces to help fend-off the daunting threat of relegation.

This season alone, Ravet has scored six goals and created 14 more having only joined the Swiss outfit a year ago.

Our landlord believes he’d get better playing opportunities at Swansea but also feels the Welsh side are doomed, so he’s struggling to predict where this talented midfielder will end up.

Who should Ravet join in the January transfer window? Let us know in the comments below!
