Swansea fell to a 0-3 defeat at home to Brentford in the Championship on Tuesday night, but their social media team still attempted to take positives from the game.

The club’s official Twitter channel @SwansOfficial posted a video clip of a near miss from Kristoffer Peterson from the match at the Liberty Stadium, along with a caption stating that “there was plenty of encouragement” from the performance of the 24-year-old.

The clip shows the Swedish winger taking possession on the left flank and exploiting a gap between two opponents to maraud into the penalty area, with his shot sailing narrowly wide of the far post with the Swans 0-2 down. [via @SwansOfficial]
The match on Tuesday was Peterson’s first start in the Championship for Steve Cooper’s side and his first involvement in the league since early August, having since been limited to just three Carabao Cup appearances. [via TransferMarkt]

Are you having a laugh? He was terrible and shouldn’t make the bench on Sunday. His bad pass led to their 2nd goal, he nearly tripped over the ball whilst doing a step over, had no end product and offered little defensively.
