Swansea City supporters are slightly concerned at their start to the new season, yet they’re hopeful that the club can make stellar additions.
The inevitable departure of Gylfi Sigurdsson has certified that Paul Clement has funds at his disposal to reinvest into the Swansea City squad before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.
Everyone associated with the club is eager to find a suitable replacement for the Icelandic international, and one such player could be Shakhtar’s, Viktor Kovalenko. The 21-year-old has established his status as one of the most promising players in Ukraine, and he’s made a meaningful contribution to his club throughout his professional career.
Kovalenko scored ten goals in all competitions for the Ukrainian side last season, and at the age of 21, his potential is vast. Accordingly, he has already attained 12 caps for Ukraine that demonstrates how highly he’s regarded in his country.
The youngster operates as an attacking midfielder and is lauded for his creative abilities. As previously mentioned, his goal involvement is rather impressive and surrounded with greater quality at Swansea; it is likely that this figure would increase should he make a move to South Wales.
Without a doubt, Kovalenko isn’t the most accomplished talent, however, given the right guidance and sufficient time to acclimatise with the gruelling demands of the Premier League, the 21-year-old could thrive. This move could provide Swansea with longevity and a budding star, with time running out it will be incredibly intriguing to see what the Swans do.
