Swansea City have been handed a huge boost ahead of this weekend’s Championship clash with Sheffield United.
Indeed, the Swans should be able to call upon leading scorer Oliver McBurnie, who has missed his club’s last two matches through illness.
What’s the news?
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Swansea boss Graham Potter confirmed that McBurnie had returned to training.

The 22-year-old missed the club’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup on January 5.
Meanwhile, he was also absent from the 1-1 draw with Preston North End in the Championship last weekend.
McBurnie is in line to face Sheffield United this weekend, however, having enjoyed a week of training ahead of the clash with the high-flying Blades.
The striker is Swansea’s leading scorer this season with 10 goals in 26 appearances and his return is huge for the Welsh outfit.
How have Swansea performed this season?
Swansea, who have also been boosted by the return of key midfielder Tom Carroll, currently sit 13th in the Championship table on 37 points.
Ten wins, seven draws and 10 defeats – that is how Potter’s team have performed in the Championship during the 2018-19 campaign.
It has been an inconsistent season to date, but they are only six points off the top six and are certainly capable of putting a strong run of results together.
That said, if Swansea are to make a genuine push for the top six this season then they will need incomings before the end of the January transfer window.
As good as McBurnie has been this season, the centre-forward desperately needs someone to take the pressure off him in the final third of the field.
