Sheffield Wednesday have been rather impressive since Steve Bruce took charge at Hillsborough, while Swansea City now find themselves in the FA Cup quarter-final.
The Owls have nothing to play for from here on in as they just couldn’t ensure consistency during the first half of the season, so they’ll be focused on securing as many positive results as possible. Meanwhile, the Swans currently find themselves nine points off a play-off place, so they’ll have to pull off something special in the coming weeks.
Interestingly, Sheffield Wednesday will welcome Swansea City to Hillsborough Stadium later on today in the Championship, so we took a look at Adam Reach and Daniel James’ influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
Adam Reach established himself as one of the standout performers in the Championship during the first half of the season as he produced a number of goals and assists, including a few wonder strikes.
However, the winger has dropped off the pace completely in recent times as he just hasn’t been able to ensure consistency, with no goal in his last eight Championship appearances.
Nevertheless, he has still had a positive impact on proceedings.
TT GRADE: B+
Daniel James has been extremely impressive at the Liberty Stadium as he continues to make a name for himself, with his goal against Brentford in the FA Cup only heightening the hype around him.
The Wales international currently has two goals and five assists to his name in all competitions this season, but he offers a lot more than goals and assists as he’s heavily involved in the build up to goals.
Indeed, the winger has a bright future ahead of him and all the ingredients to become a future star.
TT GRADE: A-
When comparing these two, it’s safe to say that Daniel James is currently a level above Adam Reach at this moment in time as the Sheffield Wednesday man has dropped off the pace, whereas James is starting to hit full flow.
Reach has been a masterstroke addition for the Owls as he’s still one of their most influential figures, but his recent performances have left him in James’ shadow as the Welshman continues to build up ahead of steam.
