It’s been a wonderful season for the Wolves fans in the Transfer Tavern so far as the club look to be making the most of a big summer spend.
Indeed, while we’ve seen previously ambitious big spends fail in the Championship, Nuno’s overhaul in the Black Country looks to be working, much to the delight of the punters propping up our bar.
With that in mind, quotes from the Express and Star have only added to the good feeling.
Wolves’ loan star, Alfred N’Diaye has revealed he’s looking to stay at Molineux beyond the course of his season-long loan deal from La Liga side Villarreal. The Senegalese midfielder has had quite the impact with the club thus far, ensuring a late win over Barnsley last weekend with a goal and assist in the dying embers of the game.
There’s thought to be a permanent option based on clauses and, if he can continue his performances in a similar vein to the most recent one, our resident Wolves-mad punters would love to see the former Hull City and Sunderland man stick around.
“I hope, I hope,” N’Diaye said when quizzed on the matter.
“I came on September 1 and everyone has helped me at the club, everyone give me love in the city so I am very happy.
“I will give my best all the season to get into the Premier League and stay here.
“I haven’t come here for a few months. I am a Wolverhampton player and I’m focused on Wolverhampton. There is an agreement in place.
“I am on loan but I’m a Wolverhampton player. I don’t think all season ‘I’ll go back to Villareal’, I don’t think like this.”
