West Brom will be feeling confident of making a return to the Premier League next season, with the Baggies comfortable in the play-off places.
Darren Moore, at this stage, will be happy with how his team have performed, yet may even feel they could be doing better with the players they have.
Goals have not been an issue for the Baggies this season, as right now, they’re the top scorers in the league.
Yet now that Harvey Barnes has gone, a big gap in their attack has been left and West Brom quickly need to find a top replacement.
With that in mind, despite the potential risk, West Brom should move quickly to try and sign Houston Dynamo winger Alberth Elis.
Elis, (who is valued at £2.2 million on Transfermarkt) is a very exciting youngster that could bring something completely different to the Hawthorns.
According to reports in the Sun via HITC, West Brom are interested in a deal to sign the MLS youngster and that would in hindsight be a very good replacement for Harvey Barnes, who was re-called to Leicester earlier this month.
The Houston Dynamo is arguably one of the league’s most exciting talents, having scored 11 times last season and the season before, as well as setting his team-mates up on 15 occasions over the last two years.
The 22-year-old is very exciting to watch – his electric pace is near-on impossible for defenders to try and contend with, whilst his eye for goal is also very good for a young wide-player.
Arguably, to make the next step in his career, a move away from the MLS will really prove how good Alberth Elis is and if the move is considered a success, West Brom may be in the Premier League because of him.
