West Bromwich Albion have struggled to ensure consistency in recent times as they failed to make the most of a promising position against Norwich City, and suffered defeat against Blackburn.
The Baggies will be focused on securing automatic promotion to the Premier League in the current campaign, and they’re not too far off achieving it at this moment in time with the automatic promotion places in their sights.
Darren Moore pulled off one of the club’s best signings in recent years back in the summer transfer window, as the Midlands club secured the loan services of Harvey Barnes from Leicester City. Barnes went on to notch nine goals and provided eight assists during the first half of the season at the Hawthorns, which helped the Baggies climb into the promising position they currently find themselves in.
However, with the Englishman now back at his parent club Leicester City after being recalled, it’s about time Moore looked at bringing in an upgrade on the youngster.
Bradley Dack is one player who could definitely go one better than Harvey Barnes at the Hawthorns, as he is enjoying arguably his best season in his football career at Ewood Park. He currently has 13 goals and seven assists to his name, which trumps Barnes’ contributions during the first half of the season.
West Brom were reportedly plotting a £20 million January move for Dack, but nothing has developed recently.
The Baggies shouldn’t waste any time in securing the services of the attacker as he could attract interest from a number of clubs if he stays at Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season. And, with the automatic promotion race still wide open at this moment in time, Moore could secure himself an upgrade on Barnes and a constant flow of contributions in the final third with the 25-year-old at his disposal, which would take their attack to the next level.
