West Brom really need to find some consistency if they want to push forward and reach the automatic places, which at the moment seems too far.
With the group of players they have, West Brom could easily find themselves back in the Premier League next season.
In recent games, West Brom haven’t shown their true capabilities but if the team all pull together just in time, they could enjoy some end of season success with a move back into the top flight.
There is nothing Darren Moore would want, nor deserve more to show for his terrific efforts but either way, he knows his team need to bolster their options ahead of next campaign.
Some thought should already be going into how West Brom will make themselves a better team and first of is to sign Mason Holgate, secondly sign better cover for him like Crystal Palace right-back Joel Ward for example.
Ward, (who is valued at £3.6 million on Transfermarkt) is a player desperate to again see regular game-time out on the pitch.
Whether or not they manage to tie Mason Holgate down to a permanent deal, Joel Ward would certainly pose as a better back-up in that role to Tyrone Mears.
The experienced full-back has only been used six times in all competitions this season which is not enough for a player supposedly in the peak years of his career.
At 29, he still has plenty to offer a club like West Brom and it wouldn’t take a sizeable offer to turn Crystal Palace’s heads, some would argue.
Capable of filling in at left-back, right midfield and centre-back as well as his natural right-back role, Joel Ward could be of great use to the Baggies, whether they gain promotion or not.
