West Bromwich Albion: Fans deliver emphatic response to Dwight Gayle question on Twitter

Despite his goal-scoring heroics on loan at the club last season, many West Brom fans feel that they shouldn’t go back in for Dwight Gayle if they are promoted to the Premier League.
The Newcastle striker spent the 2018/19 season at The Hawthorns and enjoyed a prolific loan spell for the Baggies, netting 24 goals in the Championship before returning to his parent club last summer.
If we do get promotion to the Premier League, do you think we should go in for Dwight Gayle again or forget about him?#WBA pic.twitter.com/vYAvIgTheY

The debate over Gayle was prompted by @BaggiesHQ on Twitter asking fans of the Albion if they would like to have him back at the club should they return to the top flight, although numerous supporters felt that would be a bad idea and gave their reasons why.
The Magpies striker has failed to find the net in the Premier League this season and has just 21 top flight goals in total, while he will turn 30 in October. In his absence at The Hawthorns this term, Hal Robson-Kanu and Charlie Austin have stepped up to score 19 goals between them.
Should West Brom bring Dwight Gayle back to the club?
Yes

No

Scroll down to read a flavour of the replies from some West Brom supporters, with one insisting that they should make a move for Danny Ings, who has struck 15 Premier League goals for Southampton this term:
Forget him. That ship has sailed

He’ll be 30 and he’s not good enough in the premier league

Unfortunately, no. He’s not proved himself in the Premier League at all. Fantastic championship striker and that’s as far as it goes.
