West Brom: Fans loved Rekeem Harper’s performance vs Preston

Lots of West Brom fans are raving about the performance of Rekeem Harper, who replaced the suspended Romaine Sawyers in the 2-0 win over Preston North End.

The Baggies moved seven points clear at the top on Tuesday evening and if truth be told the result never looked in doubt. Hal Robson-Kanu opened the scoring after just six minutes thanks to some delightful work from Callum Robinson, before Jake Livermore doubled the hosts’ lead just before half-time.

Harper had plenty of competition for man of the match from the likes of Robinson and Robson-Kanu, but it’s fair to say the 19 year-old deserves to be in the conversation. As well as nearly getting on the score-sheet with a superb curling effort which hit the crossbar, he also completed 83% of his passes and won 60% of his duels, per Sofascore.

Plenty of fans took to Twitter to discuss his display, with some even saying he was better than Sawyers. Check out some of the best reactions down below…
