West Brom are back on top of the Sky Bet Championship after last night’s win over play-off hopefuls Preston North End at Deepdale.
It was always going to be a close-run thing with both sides having good campaigns so far and both hopeful that they will be playing in the Premier League next season.
The Baggies were the side to win out, though, as Charlie Austin scored from the penalty spot right at the end of the game to give the away side all three points.
The strike did not come without controversy, though, with many suggesting that the spot-kick was won via simulation, rather than an actual foul.
