West Bromwich Albion: Fans disappointed with Matheus Pereira

West Bromwich Albion: Fans disappointed with Matheus Pereira - West Brom

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans were less than impressed with what they witnessed from Matheus Pereira on Saturday afternoon and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the Brazilian.

Albion’s star attacker could not help Slaven Bilic’s side overcome Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium as the two clubs played out a goalless draw, which ultimately meant they would lose their grip at the top of the Championship table (BBC).

The 23-year-old has been an impressive talent for West Brom this season in England’s second-tier, having managed to put together a match average rating of 7.34 in his 33 league appearances, which has included being named man of the match on four occasions (as per WhoScored).

However, it appears Pereira’s performance against the Welsh outfit had a number of The Hawthorns’ outfit’s faithful left somewhat angry with what they witnessed, with some taking to social media to vent their disappointment.

The South American’s display did not appear to be that bad when looking at his individual statistics, as he played four key passes, completed one dribble, whilst contributing with two tackles and one interception in a performance that was rated to be 7.08 (per WhoScored).

Here is what some of the Baggies’ faithful had to say…
