West Bromwich Albion: Grady Diangana and Charlie Austin could be in contention for trip to Derby County

Grady Diangana and Charlie Austin could be in contention for West Bromwich Albion’s trip to Derby County tomorrow, according to BBC Sport.

Championship Picks

The pair are said to be 100% fit as the Baggies look to continue their record of winning every game away from home in the Championship.

West Brom has won away to Nottingham Forest and Luton Town so far, results which leave them in sixth place in the table.

Slaven Bilic’s side rescued a draw late on against Reading on Wednesday evening, with summer signing Kenneth Zohore scoring his first goal for the club.

Austin and Diangana have both showed their quality this season and would be massive boosts for Bilic if he wants to continue their 100% record away from home.

Diangana made an immediate impact for the Midlanders as he came off the bench against Luton to score a brace, and win the game 2-1.

The 21-year-old’s impact has surpassed just goals this season. The on-loan West Ham man has shown his creative quality that could make Bilic’s side promotion candidates this season. Indeed, the 22-year-old has played the fourth-most key passes per game in the squad this season, a show of his creative ability.

While Austin is yet to score for the Baggies this season, his attacking contributions haven’t been too far and few between. The former Southampton man has averaged 3.5 shots per game this season, the most in the West Brom squad.

The Englishman also provides a good defensive line from the front, having made the third-most fouls of any player in the squad. A tactic often used to stop opposition attacks and can be a useful tool away from home against Derby to slow the game down.

Diangana and Austin have shown their quality in the West Brom side this season. Their introduction from the start could be key to continuing their brilliant away record, for the reasons given above.
