West Bromwich Albion: Fans laud Romaine Sawyers after performance in win over Middlesbrough

West Bromwich Albion fans have been lauding Romaine Sawyers after a statistic emerged from the weekend win over Middlesbrough.
According to a Baggies stats account, Sawyers completed more passes (85) than the whole of Jonathan Woodgate’s midfield five (81).
Sawyers completed a move back to the club he played for as a youngster for just £3m from second-tier rivals Brentford (via Sky Sports).
After his move to the Hawthorns in the summer, former Leeds United man Noel Whelan said he believed the Midlands club got a very good price for the midfielder (via Football Insider).
West Brom continued the fine start to their Championship season as they increased the gap at the top of the table to two points after Nottingham Forest lost 1-0 away to Wigan.
Fans were lavishing the central midfielder with praise after the revelation of the statistic about his performance away to Middlesbrough.
