West Bromwich Albion were praising the club’s summer signing Romain Sawyers after a statistic was revealed about the 27-year-old.
The Baggies tweeted out that of the players to have made seven appearances in the second tier this season, Sawyers has the highest pass percentage (via Twitter).
The Birmingham-born midfielder joined the club from Championship rivals Brentford for a fee believed to be £3m. The star had just one year left on his contract and was also attracting interest from the likes of Scottish champions Celtic (via Sky Sports).
Sawyers has been in brilliant form this season, and also leads the team in the most passes averaged per game with 61.6 (via WhoScored).
The Baggies faithful were more than complimentary of their midfielder as they took to Twitter to praise Sawyers after the emergence of the statistic.
Here is a selection of tweets from the West Brom fans:

No suprises there! He doesn’t even look for half of his passes! best/most important signing of the summer that we actually own

Excellent in possession, [like Barry for good stretches of last season], but in Sawyers we have a player over a decade younger, who is a better athlete…
Only way to go, the template of a younger side is something we have lacked for too long..

Cracking buy! May have lost value on Dawson but more than made up for it with this.
