West Bromwich Albion fans were thrilled after Matt Phillips signed a new three-year contract to keep him at the club until 2022.
The Scotland international has been at the club since signing from Queens Park Rangers back in the summer of 2016.
Phillips has played in more than 100 games across the Premier League and Championship since joining the club, contributing 32 goals in the process (via Transfermarkt).
The 28-year-old forward was in good form last season, scoring nine goals and assisting a further six as he helped the Baggies reach the Championship play-offs (via Transfermarkt).
Phillips enjoyed a good start to the 2019/2020 season, scoring the winner in the opening weekend win over Nottingham Forest.
The win over Forest ignited a great start to the season for Slaven Bilic’s side, who remain unbeaten in the Championship this campaign.
Fans were understandably thrilled at the news of Phillips’ contract extension and took to Twitter to express their excitement.
