Here are reports on a trio of West Bromwich Albion players currently out on loan, with a win and a defeat on the agenda as the loanees endure mixed weeks.
Oliver Burke came on as a substitute in Deportivo Alaves’ 2-0 win over La Liga rivals Celta Vigo as the Scotland international tasted just his second win since joining the club.
The Scotsman provided no goals or assist in what was his fifth game for the club. The result moved Alaves up to 14th in La Liga, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
Alaves face Villareal away from home on the weekend as they look to pull further away from the relegation zone.
Jonathan Leko and Sam Field
Field started the game, however, was substituted off in the 33rd minute after picking up an injury in the first half as Leko started and finished the 90 minutes.
Neither player registered an assist or goal for the Addicks as they fell to 10th place in the Championship table, however, only remain one point off the play-off places (via WhoScored).
The two Baggies players aren’t in action this weekend as Charlton face a titanic tussle against their parent club West Brom.
Burke has started just two of his five La Liga appearances this season in what is turning out to be a pretty average loan spell. With just one assist in his two starts appearances, it really does speak volumes about how much he seems to be struggling out in Spain.
Leko and Field are enjoying brilliant seasons with Lee Bowyer’s side this season. The Addicks sit just one point outside the playoff places after their promotion from League One as they seem to be building up valuable experience away from the Hawthorns this campaign.
