# Chelsea: Blues fans urge Frank Lampard to start Christian Pulisic against Burnley

**Christian Pulisic has only started three league games for Chelsea since officially arriving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779)).**

The United States international has featured mainly from the sidelines for the Blues and was again a late introduction against Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Pulisic may have only been on the pitch for [24 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779) at the Yohan Cruyff Arena, but he made a vital contribution when he assisted fellow substitute Michy Batshuayi on the 86th minute.

The 21-year-old laid-off his former Dortmund teammate to score the only goal of the game, taking his total for assists to [five](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-pulisic/leistungsdaten/spieler/315779) in all competitions this term.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has [admitted](https://twitter.com/ChelseaFC/status/1187703184334249984) that Pulisic’s recent performances have put him in contention for a start against Burnley this weekend, though with plenty of other options available to the Blues boss, earning that fourth start of the campaign at Turf Moor still looks a difficult task.

Fans of the club on Twitter certainly want to see more of ‘Captain America’, however, as shown with these tweets below:
