[*The Guardian* suggests the Blues are set to beat both United and Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of 19-year-old Marko Grujic,](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/oct/23/chelsea-marko-grujic-manchester-united-psg-jose-mourinho) who has excelled during the calendar year.

Both United and Chelsea are [said to have scouted the teenager in recent months](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/oct/23/chelsea-marko-grujic-manchester-united-psg-jose-mourinho), with the Red Devils recently sending representatives to watch the midfielder in action for Red Star Belgrade against rivals FK Rad; where Red Star won 3-0.

However their approaches look likely to end in disappointment, with reports suggesting Chelsea will sweeten their offer by [giving Red Star the option of taking Grujic back to Belgrade on-loan.](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/oct/23/chelsea-marko-grujic-manchester-united-psg-jose-mourinho)

Likened to current Chelsea star Nemanja Matic, Grujic is seen as an excellent option for the club moving forward and hits Roman Abramovich’s demands of creating a squad of young, excelling players in West London.

Chelsea fans sinking a few at the bar have declared their happiness at this potential arrival, stating they currently need all the help they can get.
