# Chelsea: 12 clubs queue up to sign Blues rising star Conor Gallagher

**Chelsea youngster [Conor Gallagher](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours/conor-gallagher-profile/) has attracted an enormous amount of attention following a successful loan spell in the Championship.**

The 20-year-old has a total of 12 clubs eyeing up his services this summer, as [reported by Football.London.](https://www.football.london/crystal-palace-fc/transfer-news/crystal-palace-among-12-clubs-18724190) His influence in midfield for loan clubs Charlton and Swansea in 2019/20 has clearly turned plenty of heads.

The report claimed that Premier League sides Southampton and Crystal Palace, along with newly-promoted Leeds and Fulham, are hoping to make a move for Gallagher. However, another loan spell seems to be the most likely option rather than a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.

The England youth international racked up an impressive six goals and 11 assists this campaign in the second tier (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/conor-gallagher/leistungsdaten/spieler/488362)). He could arguably become an important asset to the Chelsea senior squad but it seems that Frank Lampard would like him to gain some more experience first.

A Premier League destination is the preferred option, with the Blues wanting him to feature for a team with a similar playing style to Chelsea.

Gallagher’s influence on Swansea’s progress into the Championship play-offs has made him a hot prospect for the transfer window. The Blues aren’t short of options for him, but are adamant that he isn’t available for a permanent deal – a wise stance given the huge level of interest from other Premier League clubs in acquiring his services.
