# Chelsea determined to rectify mistake and re-sign prolific striker

*[The Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/509873/Chelsea-90m-double-deal-Everton-Stones-Lukaku)*[states](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/509873/Chelsea-90m-double-deal-Everton-Stones-Lukaku) Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is keen to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, who left Stamford Bridge just two years ago to join the Toffees in a £28m deal.

Since making the permanent move to Goodison Park, which came after a successful season on-loan in Merseyside, Lukaku has developed into one of the finest strikers in the Premier League and his goals helped knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup earlier this season.

[Chelsea possess no buy-back clause](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/509873/Chelsea-90m-double-deal-Everton-Stones-Lukaku) in the deal that saw the 22-year-old leave West London, which means they’ll have to pay a high price to bring him back this summer, but Abramovich is ready to sanction a vast spending spree this summer.

The Blues have endured an awful campaign and could still finish as low as 16th in the Premier League should results go against them.
